New Delhi: The latest additions to the list of Rath Yatris in the BJP were Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, joining the illustrious league of LK Advani, Narendra Modi and Raman Singh - the other party leaders to have travelled across states on a rath.
But their travel was not just on the rath. It was as much a yatra in the virtual world.
For the whole of Monday as Sushma Swaraj and her supposed rival Arun Jaitley spent the day at the Jammu airport, Swaraj was sending regular updates to all about her thoughts at not being allowed to be a part of the Yatra.
A trend which continued till Tuesday. On Tuesday as the drama unfolded on this bridge Sushma was back to tweeting.
Not to be left behind, Arun Jaitley ensured that still pictures of their travelouge were easily accessible to all. Afterall, it was for the sake of the Tricolour.
Former Party president Rajnath Singh, away from the action, also decided to jump in the melee. His form of protest - a night-long dharna at Rajghat.
But it was the incumbent BJP president who missed all the action. Away on a business trip to China, he could only be in touch with the yatris via ISD phone.
They may not have made it to Lal Chowk, but they clearly found a new tool to score points.
