Date night: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt pose backstage after the opening night performance of God of Carnage in Los Angeles last night

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attended the opening night of the Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles last night.
The actor, 47, and his 35-year-old partner were photographed backstage at the Centre Theatre Group’s production of the show, which had a successful run on Broadway in 2009.
While Brad looked slick and sharp in a suit and shirt, the usually radiant actress looked tired and washed out as she posed in a sophisticated white coat, teamed with nude heels and a clutch.

If the brunette was feeling a little weary, it would hardly come as a surprise given that the last two weeks have been particularly hectic, even by her own standards.

She has just launched her own jewellery line, Style of Jolie, which she designed in collaboration with jeweller Robert Procop.

She also visited the Tunisian-Libyan border as part of her commitments as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
And, of course, she has six children to look after: Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Insiders described their domestic life as 'organised chaos', telling People magazine: 'Of course it's wild when all the kids are there.'
But Jolie's schedule shows no sign of letting up.
The actress is gearing up for a trip to France for the Cannes Film Festival where she will support Brad for the premiere of his new film, Tree of Life.
God of Carnage is a comedy set in Brooklyn where two married couples meet to sort out a playground fight between their sons.
While the parents start out discussing the issue in a civilized manner, they becoming increasingly childish as the night wears on.
It was first performed in Zurich in 2008 and was translated into English and performed in London that same year.
A Broadway production, which had been modified for the American audience, opened in February 2009 and went on to earn several Tony Awards that same year.
