Lakshmi Rai, India's New Crossover Queen

 

Southern sensation Lakshmi Rai has bagged a project with Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron.

 

The actress confirmed the news by saying that she will soon be traveling to California to shoot for the movie.

 

According to reports, James Cameron visited the sets of Priyadarshan's movie Arabiyum, Ottakavum, P Madhavan Nairum in Dubai. On meeting him Lakshmi expressed her desire to work with him.

 

The director soon offered her a role in his upcoming movie.

 

Seems like Lakshmi is soon going to become India's new crossover queen.

 

This 29-year-old actress was a model before entering into movies.

 

Lakshmi debuted on the big screen with the Tamil movie Karka Kasadara in 2005. 

 

Her initial stint at the Box Office was a disaster, Lakshmi gave three consecutive flops.

 

She finally bagged a role in the action-thriller Dhaam Dhoom and won a Filmfare nomination for the Best Supporting Actress category.
